Getting Started - Using the Compliance Calendar

The Compliance Calendar serves as your single source of truth for all compliance events. In the calendar, Users can view and manage upcoming security events and create new ones.

To use the Compliance Calendar, users need to first navigate to it. The compliance calendar is available under the Compliance Tab in the navigation bar.

The calendar contains all events created in DISPulse. To learn more about a calendar event, select it to open its detail card. Event cards include a description of the event, additional details on the due time, priority status, the person assigned to the event, and a timeline of the event's changes.

While the Event card is open, users can mark the event as complete, edit it, or delete it. Note that all actions are tracked in Pulse; even after an event is deleted, a record of that event is retained alongside the deletion.

To mark a compliance event as finished, open the corresponding calendar event and click the "Mark Complete" button. Once an event is marked as completed, it will be removed from the calendar, and a record of the completion will be kept.

The compliance calendar provides multiple views to give users as much information as possible about upcoming compliance events. The views available to users are the default monthly view, as well as weekly, three-month, and list views. All four calendar views are located in the top-right corner of the calendar.

Users can also view a timeline of upcoming compliance events on the Compliance Timeline page. To navigate to the Compliance Timeline page, click the timeline view button in the action bar above the calendar.

The action bar includes several pages that provide users with greater insight and visibility into their compliance. From left to right, the action bar contains Toggle Filters, Toggle Metrics, Calendar View, Timeline View, Analytics View, and Advanced Analytics.

Toggle Filters

Toggle Filters opens the Calendar Filters menu, which lets users filter compliance events by category, priority level, and event status. Users can also select from several quick filters, including Upcoming (7 days), Overdue, High Priority, Control Testing, Training Events, Security Register, and Clearance Management.

Toggle Metrics

Toggle Metrics enables or disables the compliance calendar metric cards. The metric cards appear when enabled at the top of the page, directly under the main heading and subheadings. The metrics tracked on these cards are UPCOMING (events), OVERDUE (events), COMPLETION and TOTAL EVENTS.

Calendar View

The Calendar View provides access to 3-month, 1-month, week, and list calendar views.

Timeline View

The Timeline View action opens the Compliance Timeline page, which provides a linear view of upcoming compliance events. click on the event cards to open the event details card.

Analytics View

The Analytics View action opens the Timeline Analytics menu, where users can review details on compliance events, monthly performance, category Performance and Team Performance.

Finally, users can create events and add them directly to the compliance dashboard by clicking the "Add Event" button above the calendar on the left-hand side of the screen. After clicking "Add Event", users will open the event creation form. From here, users will need to enter all relevant event information and, when finished, click "CREATE EVENT".
